About us
Our recent history
AMEC Environment & Infrastructure UK is a business with the strongest foundations, built from the integration of Entec and AMEC’s existing UK environmental business, following Entec’s acquisition by AMEC during 2010.
It is a multidisciplinary environmental and engineering consultancy with enviable customer relationships and track record across the public and private sectors, a comprehensive geographic spread, and the backing of a successful FTSE100 company with a global outlook.
Being part of AMEC

It has a turnover of almost £3 billion as a focused supplier of high-value consultancy, engineering and project management services to the world’s oil and gas, minerals and metals, clean energy, water and environmental sectors. As AMEC’s environmental business in the UK, we form part of a global Environment & Infrastructure division with some 7,000 employees around the world, delivering environmental and related consultancy services to customers across the public and private sectors.
Performance and aims
Our newly combined business will be reporting future financial accounts under its new name, AMEC Environment & Infrastructure UK Limited.
Our strategy for the future, in keeping with the goals of AMEC’s global Vision 2015, is centred around the continuation of all that has served us well so far: a broad base of technical capabilities, services, markets and customers, a focus on developing competences that match the needs of our customers in the UK, and a continuation of our organic growth. These existing strengths are now complemented by a broader vision that includes growth by acquisition and the overseas opportunities that come with being part of a large global group.
