We make sure that Ireland has a secure and sustainable supply of electricity. This is essential to power communities and drive the economy. Through our work, we are also leading the transition to a low carbon future and future-proofing Ireland's electricity grid for the next generation by making the grid renewable ready. By 2020 nearly 40% of Ireland's electricity came from renewable sources; we are working for 80% by 2030.
