ABOUT US

The Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) is the trade association for the UK garden industry.

The HTA has, for over 100 years, promoted the interests of its members and the industry at large. A cost-effective and comprehensive range of business support and development initiatives are available to individual members. We’re proud to count 1,500 garden retailers, growers, manufacturers and landscapers in our membership. Everything we do is for the benefit of our members and the focus of our activities are driven by member feedback. We don't have shareholders, and our only purpose is to support our members.

To the membership as a whole, HTA provides a vital forum for identifying and dealing with key garden industry issues and opportunities, represents industry views to Government and is its voice in the media. Our National Garden Gift Voucher scheme is the UK's longest running garden consumer promotion. It drives around 2 million visits into garden centres each year. We also help suppliers to garden centres reach their trade customers through a range of trade shows, advertising and sponsorship services. Our members get business support like training, elearning, conferences and market research. It’s tailored to small sole traders through to large multinationals alike, and puts the expertise and experience of others in the industry at our members fingertips. Our industry and what we grow and produce adds to the economy, the environment and our health and wellbeing. We're very proud and passionate about that and we work to make sure that government understands this passion, and shapes its policies accordingly.

Be part of a dynamic organisation that represents and provides services to the horticulture industry.

We work collaboratively as one big team at the HTA and in this environment both our employees and members feel like part of a larger community. We are passionate and committed to the future of the garden industry and are fortunate to have a small team of talented, dedicated and committed employees based from our Head Office in Chilton, Oxfordshire.

By working for the HTA, you will be offered a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the Horticultural industry, develop yourself, be innovative and be given the ability to influence the changing landscape of the garden industry.
