This is an excellent opportunity for a GIS graduate to join a growing team working on a wide range of energy/infrastructure environmental projects. You can be based in Kerry, Cork or Limerick with the possibility for remote work also. 

 The ideal candidate will be looking to start his/her career and gain invaluable experience in a multi-disciplinary engineering & environmental consultancy within a friendly working environment. This is a permanent role and offers the successful candidate opportunities for career development. 

This would be an ideal role for candidates with 0-3 years experience or for a recent graduate looking to start a career in GIS or Environmental Consultancy.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain spatial and data driven projects within GIS based platform.
  • The collection and update of data and the production of maps and graphics.
  • Handle all data transfers (.shp, .gdb, .dwg, etc.) to support the environmental and engineering teams
  • Support the management and delivery of mapping both for internal teams and our clients.
  • Provide support to the organisation’s senior GIS Specialist and complete tasks as allocated.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of the GIS sector including software developments.
  • Support the draughting team using CAD.

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Degree or recognised qualification in GIS or related subject.
  • Experience working with a variety of data sources and formats.
  • Experience using GIS, QGIS, ArcMap and MapInfo preferred.
  • Experience using CAD would be beneficial.
  • Ability to work well within technical team.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills with great attention to detail.
  • Full clean driving licence is a benefit.
