Head of Benchmarking & Measurement

Lewis Davey is delighted to be supporting the Better Buildings Partnership as they look to recruit a Head of Benchmarking & Measurement to play a pivotal role in the strategy, management and delivery of the BBP’s ground breaking work on Benchmarking & Measurement.  This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of the leading organisations focused on sustainability in the commercial real estate sector and gain access to a significant network of BBP members who are leading the industry.

The BBP is a not-for-profit collaboration of 40 of the UK’s leading property owners, with over £250bn Assets Under Management, who are working together to improve the sustainability performance of commercial buildings. You can find out about the BBP here and read the BBP’s Impact Report here.

The Head of Benchmarking & Measurement will play a critical role in developing, managing and delivering this workstream which consists of several of the BBP’s longest standing and groundbreaking work, widely recognized for its industry transformational impact. The work stream includes:

The Real Estate Environmental Benchmark (REEB): a publicly available operational benchmark of environmental performance for commercial property in the UK. It is one of the only benchmarks based on the performance of buildings ‘in-use’ and is increasingly becoming the ‘industry standard’ used by investors, fund managers and property owners to compare the performance of their assets with other similar assets from portfolios across the UK. More information about REEB can be found here.

Design for Performance & NABERS UK: an industry backed project led by the BBP to tackle the performance gap and provide an approach, based on measurable performance outcomes, to ensure new office developments deliver on their design intent.  The DfP initiative worked to bring the knowledge and success of NABERS to the UK through a feasibility study, pilot projects and scheme specification.
