Opportunity:

We are looking for a passionate ecology specialist to fill an exciting opportunity to become a Senior Ecology Consultant at a well-established, respected consultancy. Within your role, you will have the chance to work alongside other ecology professionals, fostering the development of your own personal skillset and experience. Furthermore, there will be plenty of opportunities to enhance your existing abilities within key aspects of the position including surveying, protected species licenses, project management and ecological mitigation.

Responsibilities:

As the newest member of the Ecology team, your responsibilities as a Senior Ecology Consultant will comprise of the following:

* Carrying out both Habitat and Protected Species surveys.
* Report writing, technical documentation in relation to EIAs, HRAs and key stakeholder engagement.
* Fee proposal construction up to large scale multidisciplinary developments.
* Undertaking project management duties, overseeing and guiding junior members of the ecology team.
* Oversee work completed by other members of the ecology team.

Alongside these responsibilities, the ideal Senior Ecology Consultant candidate will need to be dedicated to the safeguarding and improvement of the planet and able to work effectively with as you will taking up line management duties.

Qualifications & Experience:

Need to be a holder of at least one protected species license – more is desirable, especially bat mitigation licenses.

* CIEEM full member or able to work towards it with help from line manager.
* Proven experience as a named/accredited ecologist within a mitigation license.
* Full, clean UK driver’s license.
* Experience line managing a team of ecologists.
