We are seeking a motivated Design Engineer to join a Roads and Transportation Division. This role offers the flexibility to be based at any of the office locations (Limerick, Galway, castlebar, Dublin) with hybrid working options. The ideal candidate will hold a Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil/Transport Engineering or a related field, with 2 to 6 years of relevant experience. You will contribute to diverse transportation projects, working closely with senior staff and clients to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Requirements:

  • Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil/Transport Engineering or equivalent.
  • 2 to 6 years of experience in transportation and road design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and/or AutoCAD 3D.
  • Expertise in PICADY, ARCADY, and LinSig software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and data analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to deliver project deliverables and liaise with clients.
  • Engage with Local Authorities and stakeholders to ensure project compliance and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Review and provide feedback on documents and designs prepared by Graduate Engineers.
  • Prepare comprehensive Traffic and Mobility Reports.
  • Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, managing sub-consultants as required.
  • Conduct transport modelling and apply engineering principles to solve complex problems.
  • Follow instructions from Line Managers and senior project team members, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
