Hydraulic Modeller

We are seeking a Hydraulic Modeller to join a growing Water and Wastewater Team based in Derby. This role offers the chance to work on a diverse range of projects, from drainage design and surface water management to the development of sustainable urban infrastructure. You will be part of a large, collaborative, and multi-disciplinary team that serves clients across the UK and internationally, including water companies, local authorities, and developers. Requirements:

• Understanding of the Irish and UK water industries, with a focus on environmental sustainability.
• Demonstrable experience in wastewater modeling using InfoWorks ICM.
• Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong desire to learn and develop technical skills.
• Working towards a professional qualification in a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and analyse hydraulic models to investigate flooding and environmental issues.
• Contribute to the design of drainage systems, Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS), and other surface water management solutions.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to provide water and wastewater infrastructure services.
• Prepare and present technical reports and project deliverables to clients and stakeholders.
• Support survey planning and supervision to ensure accurate data collection and analysis.
• Assist in developing innovative and sustainable solutions for complex environmental challenges.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of technical standards and practices within the team.
