Opportunity:

Working out of their Scotland office, you’ll be supporting construction projects with a combination of both office/home based and site-based responsibilities, delivering concise, sound advice to both clients and colleagues to ensure proper environmental procedures.
Responsibility:
As the new Senior/Principal ECoW you will be responsible for ensuring that proper environmental standards are being upheld on construction sites. This will be done by ensuring that proper assessing, monitoring and management of present and potential environmental and ecological constraints is conducted, aiming to pre-empt as many issues as possible. Some of these issues could include protected species (birds’ nests, badger setts and bat roosts) or material management (chemicals, waste and water). Alongside site-based work, you’ll be providing advice on topics such as Licenses and planning, applying for required licenses, designing & implementing mitigation strategies, liaising with relevant stakeholders & clients, carrying out pre-construction surveys and exclusions & translocations.
Requirements:
To be a successful Senior/Principal ECoW, you will need to meet a certain criterion:
* Ecological Clerk of Works experience.
* Environmental Clerk of Works experience is highly desirable.
* Budget Management experience.
* Full, clean UK drivers license.
* Some experience with linear construction projects.
* Protected Species Licenses are highly desirable.
* CSCS card is highly desirable.
* Membership or chartership with relevant industry bodies.
* Experience with water quality monitoring.
* Strong technical report writing skills.
