Senior Mechanical Engineer - Building Services

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of sustainable building services projects in a dynamic market. This position offers an opportunity to shape innovative, low-carbon engineering solutions that address critical climate challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the design and implementation of mechanical systems for diverse sectors, with a focus on commercial real estate.
• Develop sustainable, net-zero carbon mechanical solutions, integrating embodied carbon analysis and circular economy principles.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects and clients, ensuring seamless project integration.
• Mentor junior engineers, fostering a supportive and growth-oriented team environment.
• Oversee contractor coordination, project delivery, and commissioning of mechanical installations.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of post-qualification design experience in a consultancy environment.
• Experience in the Irish or UK market.
• Chartered Engineer status (or near chartered) with a proven record in delivering mechanical engineering solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Irish building regulations, including BCAR, and relevant industry standards.
• Experience managing contractors and overseeing on-site work, including commissioning.
• Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
