Principal Archaeological Consultant

My client, a leading multidisciplinary environmental and planning consultancy, is seeking a Principal Archaeological Consultant to join its growing Historic Environment team.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead archaeological and heritage consultancy projects across a range of development sectors.
* Prepare and review heritage assessments, desk-based assessments, and EIA heritage chapters.
* Advise clients on planning, archaeology, and heritage matters.
* Manage archaeological fieldwork, consultants, budgets, and programmes.
* Liaise with planning authorities, stakeholders, and project teams.
* Mentor junior team members and support business development activities.
Requirements
* Degree in Archaeology, Heritage, or a related discipline.
* Significant consultancy and/or commercial archaeology experience.
* Strong knowledge of UK planning policy and heritage legislation.
* Proven project management and technical reporting skills.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
