We are very happy to be working with one of the leading technical sustainability consultancies in the South West that work with some of the leading and biggest house builders in the UK.

We’re currently looking to introduce them to quality BREEAM assessors and consultants to work from their Tiverton headquarters. They’re looking for a talented consultant to play an important part in the growth of this exciting company.

Our client delivers planning reports, SAP and SBEM, through to Code for Sustainable Homes / Home Quality Mark and BREEAM.  This role would suit somebody ambitious enough to strive for excellence in everything they do.

The main responsibilities of this role include, but may not be limited to:


·         Conducting BREEAM assessments for mixed-use and non-residential development across England and Wales.

·         Liaising with both the client and design team to make sure sustainability requirements are taken into consideration and achieved across the development.

·         Provide consultancy and written reports at land acquisition and planning stage to make sure all requirements are met.

·         Leading the delivery and project management of a range of sustainability services to complex mixed-use developments and non-residential developments across England and Wales.


For this role the desired candidate will possess the following attributes:


·         Provable experience in the provision of consultancy at planning stage and input into planning statements.

·         Experience of conducting of BREEAM assessments.

·         Knowledge and a history of assessments for both residential and commercial clients.

·         A good understanding of construction specifications, including M&E.

·         Previous experience of dealing face-to-face with clients.

·         Conversant with planning policies and Building Regulations throughout the UK, particularly in relation to the conservation of fuel and power.


Desirable qualifications and experience:

·         BREEAM Assessor licence (preferably Commercial and Multi-residential).

·         BREEAM Advisory Professional licence.

·         Experience of delivery of Shell & Core BREEAM assessments.

·         Experience of delivery of Refurbishment BREEAM assessments.

·         Experience of delivery of BREEAM Communities.

·         Experience of leading the delivery of sustainability services in relation to large, complex residential/mixed use schemes.


Please note that this is initially a 9 month fixed-term contract with the option for the right candidate of this becoming permanent.
