Cathcart Energy are recruiting for an AT & CT level Service Technicians for Onshore Wind Turbines (Vestas V47 & V52) in Cumbria, UK.

The role will involve troubleshooting and maintenance of (Vestas V47 & V52) Turbines in Wind Farms around the Scotland Central Belt area. While you will need to live locally in order to perform the role, my client is happy to consider relocating candidates and will be able to support this relocation if required.

The role will for be standard daytime hours with no shift work but there is an on call rota which is roughly one week in three where you will need to be available until 8pm for call out.

You will be working at height and so need to be confident in that environment but all appropriate training courses will be given if needed.

This role:

Perform day-to-day scheduled or unscheduled maintenance tasks on plant, tools and machinery at the wind farm/s, in the store or at the office. Typical duties include day-to-day responsibility for servicing on site, mechanical, electrical and hydraulic system maintenance, electrical control system tests, checking the torque on bolts, cleaning and re-greasing moving parts, restocking consumables, providing direct supervision of the service team technician/s and the compilation of service reports and MRS‘s (Maintenance Record Sheets) and AWPs where applicable under WTSR.

Specifically, you will need to have experience with Vestas machines, electrical fault finding and electrical systems maintenance. If you have experience with working on a Vestas Turbine this will strengthen your application.
