Senior Project Manager (Marine Mammals and Acoustics)  

Hours: 09.00 – 17.00, with half an hour unpaid lunch break, Monday to Friday, with the occasional need to work overtime 

Holiday and Benefits: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. 5% employer pension contribution. Other employee benefits after successful completion of 6-moth probation period

It will provide the necessary support and confidence to our clients and will provide the link between our much-needed commercial advancement and the current excellent science capabilities. A quality delivery system is essential.

Role Summary: 

Support the Seiche Environmental Business Manager to market, tender and manage environmental projects and to develop a comprehensive client-base through conferences and meetings and promotions of Seiche Environmental services. Produce quotes and tenders and coordinate projects for the department. 

Key tasks of the role: 

Principal accountabilities:

• Assessment, preparation and submission of pre-qualification and tender documents
• Coordination and management of projects to required specifications
• Maintain and develop existing client and supplier relationships
• Collaboration with wider Seiche Group 
• Building collaborative links with industry, technical and academic institutes
• Building relationships with SNCBs
• Mentor and provide support to other project managers/project assistants 
• Interfacing with both internal and external stakeholders including clients and suppliers
• Co-ordinate and input to the tendering process, liaising with internal teams to ensure bids meet required specifications and proposed methods are achievable
• Following up on tender submissions and addressing client feedback to improve future proposals and work standards
• Work with HSE department to identify and manage project risks
• Highlighting areas of company growth, or new target markets
• Monitor KPIs, including budget throughout project cycle
• Production and QAQC of Project Documentation and Final Reports 
• Manage client expectations and resolve issues or client complaints quickly
• Primarily responsible for management of projects from enquiry to invoice

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to liaise and build relationships with internal stakeholder and clients. This will include client visits and submission of tenders and the subsequent follow up actions.

• Marine Mammals and Marine Ecology (desirable) 
• Offshore industry and operations (desirable)
• Understanding of environmental impacts of offshore development and operational activities on marine mammals (desirable)
• Knowledge of Seiche Products
• Tender delivery 
• Financial management
• Health, Safety, Environment and Quality procedure

Experience

• Project management 
• Working with offshore industry and/or marine regulations and SNCB’s 

Education & Certification

• Martine science related degreed (BSc - preferably in a marine environmental related subject)
• JNCC / BOEM / DOC MMO and PAM Training (desirable)
• Health and Safety qualification or training (desirable but not essential)
• Training provided
• Must drive due to location, client and site visits

The nature of this role will mean that the successful candidate will be expected to respond to requests outside of standard business hours, additionally potential inter-company site visits, client visits, marketing events and possible global travel will be essential in this role.
