Energy Officer (REAL18-275)

Grade 7 £22,401 to £25,463 per annum 

Location: County Hall, Durham

An opportunity has arisen for an Energy Officer required until 30th September 2019.

The post holder is responsible for promoting and facilitating sustainable development, carbon reduction, energy efficiency, and renewable energy technologies within micro, small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) across County Durham in line with targets and outcomes of the Business Energy Efficiency Project (BEEP).

The postholder is responsible for completing in-depth energy audits of SMEs, identifying opportunities for financial and CO2e savings through energy efficiency, efficient processes and procedures and on-site renewable energy generation.  The postholder will also provide dedicated support for the successful adoption of the opportunities identified alongside assisting with the delivery of events and workshops related to achieving BEEP milestones. 

Applicants should hold a HNC or equivalent in a related discipline OR have Specialist professional, energy management and/or energy auditing qualifications.
