We are the UK's largest organic certification body, responsible for certifying over 70% of all organic products sold in the country. We certify organic food and farming, organic textiles and organic beauty products as well. About the opportunity

We’re looking for a marketing professional to lead and inspire our award-winning marketing team, looking after both our consumer and our business-to-business marketing.  This is an exciting opportunity to lead on all our communications work within Soil Association Certification talking to a number of different audiences, using a small budget creatively to deliver big results and to ensure we reflect our position as the Certifier of Choice for organic certification.

Your role

This exciting new role will lead our marketing and communications strategy to support the growth of our schemes (Organic Food, Farming, Food Service, Forestry, Beauty and Textiles) through acquiring and supporting licensees and clients and building the consumer market and demand for the products.  This includes developing campaign strategy and messaging to both consumers and business, working with PR, leading our digital and social strategy to ensure we put digital first, and leading your team to deliver market changing campaigns.  It’s a complex and busy role with a real opportunity to use your skills and experience across the marketing mix. 

About you

You must have experience across the full channel mix and be confident in leading and motivating a team as well as being able to work with a variety of stakeholders.  Understanding consumer and business to business marketing is essential, this role is both about building consumer demand and about growing our schemes.  Developing messaging, briefing agencies and working with press must be second nature as is leading an events programme.  Being able to lead and motivate a team is essential as are great organisational and project management skills.
