Job Summary:

This is an opportunity for an experienced construction health & safety professional to join an award-winning multidisciplinary consultancy, to work with their public and private sector clients on a mixture of new build, refurbishment and maintenance schemes

The role will involve working on multiple projects across London and the successful candidate will be empowered to take ownership of their work through inspections, reporting and representing the business to clients and contractors. The Safety team is thriving, with an ever-growing client base and there are great opportunities for training and development.

Previous projects have included Gatwick Airport, major regeneration schemes, St Pancras Station, large international hotel chains, and various well-known commercial brands.

Responsibilities:

As Health & Safety Inspector you will:

* Advise clients of their duties under the requirements of CDM 2015 and act accordingly to ensure their compliance throughout the appointment
* Manage multiple projects for key clients to the business
* Effectively plan, manage, monitor and coordinate Health & Safety on all phases of construction projects
* Carry out site inspections and deliver high quality reports to the client adhering to reasonable deadlines
* Provide clear, concise and practical health and safety advice, guidance and coaching to project teams at all stages of the project when required
* Review, comment and advise on the suitability of contractor’s health and safety management documentation to ensure pertinent risks have been considered and addressed
* Take account of various aspects of the project including usability, functionality, future maintainability, life cycle building management and identify residual risks at all stages of the project
* Health & Safety File and O&M compilation
* Have knowledge of asbestos, gas, electric, legionella compliance
* Have the ability to review, comment and update H&S related policies and procedures

Qualifications:

You will ideally hold the following qualifications::

* Hold a NEBOSH General and Construction Certificate
* Technical, Graduate or Chartered Membership of IOSH
* Incorporated member of Association for Project Safety (IMaPs)
