Plant Manager wanted to join a highly efficient Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power station in Aberdeenshire.

The power station was refurbished during 2015 and returned to service in November 2015. The station is now configured for flexibly and efficiently generating between 240 MWe and 400 MWe, with a Supplemental Balancing Reserve (SBR) contract for an additional 750 MWe to provide occasional back-up over the winter period.

What is the job?

Duties of the Plant Manager will include:

Responsibility for the overall operations, maintenance and engineering activities of the plant

Managing the station to achieve an incident and injury free working environment

Lead and develop key business goals and targets taking responsibility for their delivery

Ensuring overall operating effectiveness to deliver best practice plant performance in terms of availability, efficiency and reliability

Drive technical and operational innovation to achieve improvements in plant performance

Stakeholder management

Contributing to the overall success of the plant and the company

What is required to be considered?

To be considered for this Plant Manager position you should have:

Significant experience in Operations / Maintenance / Engineering or Plant Management in the power generation sector, ideally on a CCGT plant

Ideally a degree level qualification in an engineering discipline. Qualifications below this level will still be considered along with relevant work experience

A leadership and management style that proactively encourages a culture of involvement, engagement, teamwork and individual development

A track record of being results and customer focused

Excellent organisational and communication skills
