This role will provide support to the Chairman with organisation, scheduling of work and meetings, and correspondence. It will also include taking responsibility for management of relations with senior staff, including senior project managers, deadline compliance, and managing important documents and files.


Key activities:

·       Manage the diary and schedule of the Chairman (and other Directors from time-to-time);

·       Schedule Board, line management and other internal/external meetings coordinating with other Directors and the Management Team as required;

·       Undertake research and prepare meeting agendas, minute taking, collate actions and manage action trackers;

·       Manage the relationship between the Chairman and senior staff to agree roles in key projects;

·       Maintain oversight of projects as requested and follow-up with key project managers where required;

·       Liaise with the Management Team to ensure work is sensibly allocated across the policy / sustainable business team (and others as appropriate) and to agree ongoing developments in project management and delivery;

·       Liaise with the training division to arrange relevant training and attendance by key personnel;

·       Liaise with existing, and potential, clients and other business visitors;

·       Support the marketing / PR function

·       Arrange appearances at conference events and help prepare keynote presentations;

·       Facilitate media contact, appearances and social media presence in conjunction with marketing team;

·       Book business travel for senior management and other staff members as required; and

·       Support Chairman in preparing for work trips as required.

 Person specification:

We are currently seeking a highly organised individual who is both self-motivated and enjoys working as part of a team. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator who is comfortable interacting with staff across all levels of the business. They will also conduct themselves confidently and in a professional way.

·       Discretion;

·       Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office.



·       Experience in a similar role;

Holiday Entitlement

24 days per year (plus Bank Holidays) rising by 1 day for each full year of service to a maximum of 30 days per year.
