At Viridor, we're investing in state-of-the-art recycling facilities, allowing for a wider range of products to be recycled. Our Materials Recycling Facilities (MRFs) are some of the biggest and most advanced of their kind in Europe. Our MRFs across the UK use a combination of advanced mechanical sorting and manual quality control to separate materials into individual streams, ready to be put back to work. Our investment in technology allows us to operate at the highest quality, environmental, energy efficiency and health and safety standards.

Our MRF in Bargeddie is currently undergoing construction and is central to Scotland's ambition to deliver a zero waste, circular economy which encourages waste reduction, boosts recycling and recovers vital renewable energy from what remains.

The Maintenance Supervisor at our new Bargeddie Residual Waste Treatment Plant (RWT) will be responsible for the safe and effective delivery of the site maintenance strategy. Working in partnership with the production team and the maintenance manager, coordinating all maintenance activity and optimise plant availability, performance and quality and ensuring full compliance and regulations are met at all times.

You'll also be responsible for planning, organising and undertaking corrective and reactive work and for delivering improvement projects leading to increased plant reliability and cost reduction, continuously evaluating equipment reliability leading to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) studies and the planning and implementation of subsequent improvement activity.

With your previous experience of working within a process, manufacturing or similar environment, you'll be aware of stock control and provide engineering expertise and information to the Production Teams and influence decision making.

Our Maintenance Supervisor will have excellent diagnostic skills and a good level of analytical, numeracy and literacy to be able to produce relevant condition reports and management information required. You'll be able to work on your own initiative and within the team and think logically and decisively to provide solutions.

You'll have a good understanding and awareness of environmental, health and safety regulations and subsequent impacts, understanding of a proactive maintenance strategy and condition monitoring, knowledge of CMMS systems. You will have achieved at least an Apprenticeship, HNC, NVQ (L3) or City & Guilds in an appropriate engineering skill.

Knowledge of industry process, MRF and/or Polymers equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and RCA techniques would be beneficial in this role.

You will require a full UK driving license.
