Due to continued success and growth, we are now looking to recruit a Unit Manager for our team based at our Heathfield site.

Unit Manager Role:

The Unit Manager will manage the day to day operational activities at an Operational Landfill site in accordance with the Company Procedures. You will develop and maintain liaison with the regulatory authorities and major customers along with a professional relationship with local residents' groups and site liaison panels.

The Unit Manager will ensure that each site is operated to maximise revenue from all activities within the department, including the maximisation of landfill gas generation. You will also develop the customer base at profitable levels, creating a consistent approach to doing business and bringing forward business opportunities. Responsibilities also include:

 *Ensure compliance with all company procedures, statutory legislation and industry good practice. *Ensure BMS procedures are adhered to along with the identification of environmental targets and objectives. *Reduce risk and improve Health, Safety and Wellbeing for yourself and those who report directly to you. *Develop and maintain working relationships with the Engineering and Closed Landfill departments to allow for the progressive development and smooth transition of the site from Active to Restoration phases. *Provide technically competent management (COTC/CMS) where necessary for the assigned assets.

Our ideal Unit Manager:

 *Extensive experience of leading an operational landfill site or related operations *Relevant COTC Qualification or equivalent *IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent *Health and Safety qualification *Capable of leading Health and safety change and designing and embedding best practice *Experience of leading and managing business transition *Capable of leading asset management planning and designing and embedding best practice. *Practical experience of financial management including P&L and inventory and relevant finance systems *Practical experience of liaising with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels. Effecting change and balancing risk *Full driving license
