An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the South West's leading employers as a Customer Research Officer for our team based in Exeter.

The Role

The Customer Research Officer will support the strategic outlook and development of customer research.

You will be responsible for using customer research data to support the business requirements for service improvement and the development of customer strategies.

The Customer Research Officer will also disseminate research findings across the business and assist the business in the development of action plans based on the outcomes of customer research. You will be responsible for benchmarking against research undertaken by other WaSCs, WoCs and other utilities and industries; aligning research techniques with best practice and guidance from Ofwat, UKRN and UKWIR as appropriate and evaluating the outputs from other organisations such as Ofwat and the Consumer Council for Water in order to communicate outcomes to the business.

You will be responsible for liaising with external research partners to develop project briefs and materials for focus groups and co-creation workshops.

You will also be responsible for overlaying data from multiple sources to enhance the understanding of customer satisfaction and to provide support for key business objectives and Periodic Review activities. Additionally you will support the delivery of the Company's affordability and vulnerability strategies through mapping company data and analysis of government data.

The Ideal Customer Research Officer:

 *Educated to degree level standard; ideally with a qualification in Market & Social Research Practices *Proven experience of project work  and ideally experience of  carrying out different research methods *Excellent verbal and written communication skills *Good prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple strands of work at the same time *Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the business and build key working relationships *An excellent attention to detail with the ability to consistently deliver accurate and timely information
