Due to continued success and growth, we are now looking to recruit an Operations Manager to join our team at Ford.

Operations Manager Role:

Joining our team, the Operations Manager will assume full management and responsibility for the Household Waste Recycling Centre and Transfer Station operations within West Sussex; ensuring at all times that they operate in accordance with statutory legislation, environmental obligations and Company procedures.

You will lead, direct and motivate the staff across all HWRC and Transfer Station sites ensuring excellent customer service for the client. The Operations Manager will plan, communicate and work with the West Sussex Logistic department and operational Materials Recycling Facility to ensure a proficient work practice across the contract.

Additionally, you will have responsibility for implementing and reviewing measures to improve recycling rates across all HWRC and Transfer Station sites; as well as maintaining procedures to ensure compliance with all legal requirements and ISO standards.

Our ideal Operations Manager will have:

 *A proven track record of man management across multiple facilities/depots. *Good knowledge of relevant Waste Management and Health and Safety legislation. *Good knowledge of plant and machinery relevant to waste recycling and recovery. *Knowledge of Gatehouse, Company P&L and Syspro systems. *Proven ability to deliver improvements in all areas of responsibility. *A good standard of administration, cost control and record keeping. *Ability to juggle priorities and always remain calm under pressure and to display a positive attitude. *Resilient and self-motivated with ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative. *Previous experience of training new, temporary and existing employees. *Degree level or equivalent qualification
