Electrical Engineer needed who has experience of Grid network applications in Scotland. You will be joining a fast moving and technically diverse team of renewable energy developers, working on a range of exciting projects mainly focussed on onshore wind.

The Company has real plans for additional growth and there is an opening for an experienced electrical engineer to provide in house support to the wider project team in a relaxed friendly environment.

Scope of Responsibilities

* Initial grid connection feasibility study
* Preparation of Grid Applications & Review of Offers
* Providing electrical design input at all stages of project development through construction, and importantly value engineering
* Supporting Project Managers with Network operator discussions at all stages of projects
* Conducting ICP tenders to evaluate the most cost-effective connections for projects
* Ensuring that the company is aware of all future industry consultations which may impact on the company’s projects
* Identification of key risks and opportunities relating to grid connection as part of due diligence of potential portfolio/project acquisitions
* Management of Grid Code compliance testing process
* Review of all operational grid agreements to identify opportunities, optimise capacity and reduce costs

Essential skills

* Must be comfortable working on projects with evolving scopes, in the context of competing priorities
* Candidates must be degree qualified and have chartered engineer status
* 6 + years of experience
* Driving license essential

* Strong organisational, networking & interpersonal skills
* Commercial awareness & attention to detail
* Ability to flex work practice and demonstrate agile thinking
