Thermal Modeller / Building Physics Consultant

This is an exciting role for an experienced thermal modeller to become a part of a dedicated energy and environment consultancy based in London. You will become a part of their diverse and dedicated team of experienced specialists and have the opportunity to work on some of the largest residential schemes in and around the South East specifically.  You'll be given lots of client exposure and the business has a huge commitment to training and CPD. 

We're looking for a building physicist with at least 18 months to 2 years experience of building physics/thermal modelling, ideally with exposure to Design Builder.  Applicants will preferable have experience of Thermal bridging / psi value modelling experience.  Exposure to Thermal comfort modelling, Solar design sunlight/daylight analysis and Thermodynamics/fluids is desirable. 

Applicants should benefit from a proven capability to manage multiple projects, build and maintain client relationships, excellent communication and reporting writing skills and will have solid exposure to the following software packages: 

  • Thermal modelling – Design Builder / IES / Energy Plus
  • Sunlight/Daylight – MBS
  • Solar design – Diva/Rhino
  • BIM/Revit
  • Optimisation – Grasshopper / Design Builder / JEPlus+EA
  • Interstitial condensation – Glaser / WUFI
