We now have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Unit Manager to join our team at our Rochester Polymers Recycling Facility (PRF).

The Unit Manager Role:

Joining our team, the Unit Manager will competently manage all the operational activities at Rochester PRF and to ensure that they are carried out in a safe, professional, economical and timely manner in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures.

You will maximise the recycling and recovery rates, productivity and efficiency whilst meeting quality targets. You will liaise and communicate effectively with Viridor Resource Management and all other internal departments within Viridor; as well as external agencies such as The Health and Safety Executive, Environment Agency, planners and contractors as required.

The Unit Manager will manage the operational activities of the production staff and labour resources efficiently and effectively; as well as review and improve financial performance of site production activities. You will provide Opex and Capex analysis and comparison assessments for agreed operational improvement measures to ensure Rochester PRF operates to its maximum efficiency.

Responsibility for other facilities might be assigned to this role in future.

Our ideal Unit Manager:

Experience of managing large or multiple processing facilities is essential. You will have good knowledge of materials processing and treatment operations; as well as a detailed understanding of Health & Safety regulations and safe systems of work.

The successful Unit Manager will have excellent knowledge of plant and machinery relevant to material processing or recycling and recovery; and will have a good understanding of material types and quality demands that relate to material processing and recycling operations.

You will be degree qualified within a relevant discipline and hold relevant COTCs (4TMNH) and (4COMP), or be willing to study to achieve these. You'll be highly organised and efficient, with the ability to motivate and manage a large team.
