Our Glasgow Recycling & Renewable Energy Centre (GRREC) is a great example of our commitment to overhauling the way household waste is managed through sustainable waste management. This site is unique, unlike our other facilities, GRREC is an integrated site with 3 interdependent process plants and a range of processes from material recycling, gas production to energy generation.

GRREC is currently at the early stage of operation and will require an experienced and talented Plant Manager to lead on effective co-ordination and prioritisation of the integrated asset of GRREC. Through the provision of strong and clear leadership and guidance to the site team you will deliver a best in class facility in line with Viridor' s behaviours and values.

As Plant Manager you will drive the performance and operational effectiveness of a team of 7 and with them you will create a culture of continuous improvement in operations, safety, performance and compliance, ensuring no compromise is made with regards to health, safety and environment.

Reporting to the MD for Viridor' s Energy division, you will be part of the Energy senior leadership team and will constantly drive collaboration and performance across the Centre's operations. Ultimately you will be responsible for the delivery of operational KPIs to achieve revenue and profit targets and be relentless in your pursuit of best practice and increased levels of employee engagement.

Our ideal Plant Manager will possess:

 *A demonstrable track record of success within a leadership capacity, possessing significant operational / engineering experience   *Strong leadership and communication skills to lead and motivate with an ability to mentor and coach your team effectively *You will promote the ERF vision and mission delivering business objectives and developing talent that supports a platform for growth and succession *Experience of a regulated, fast paced process plant environment, ideally from the energy sector or within a large scale steam raising process plant. Experience of bringing new assets into operation is an advantage *A proven background in driving business objectives and delivering results through people and continuous improvement *A strong no compromise approach to health and safety and environmental compliance *Financial and budgetary responsibility in previous roles, together with experience of business planning. *Qualified to degree level or equivalent in an Engineering discipline *Full driving license
