We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer based at our Glasgow Recycling and Renewable Energy Centre (GRREC).

Maintenance Engineer Role:

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the safe and effective delivery of the site maintenance strategy at our Glasgow Recycling and Renewable Energy Centre. Working in partnership with the Operations team, the Maintenance Engineer will coordinate all activities and optimise plant availability, performance and quality.

You'll be proactive in assisting the Site Maintenance team with the delivery of planned and reactive workload or technical expertise, ensuring that all Planned Maintenance inspections as defined by the site maintenance plans are completed safely, effectively and within budget.

You'll assist in prioritising and planning all maintenance work, ensuring that tools, parts and materials are available and production downtime is minimized; whilst also upholding and exceeding standards of safety.

Managing a team of technicians, you will effectively manage the Shift Rota to ensure that all holidays, TOIL, Sickness, and absences are recorded; as well as carry out annual Performance Appraisal Reviews (PAR's) of reportees.

Our ideal Maintenance Engineer will have:

 *Possess appropriate Engineering qualifications such as HNC / HND (or equivalent) *In depth understanding of a strategic approach to engineering and maintenance *Previous experience working within a process, production or manufacturing environment *Working knowledge of health and safety regulations. (PUWER, LOLER, Working at height etc) *IT literate, able to analyse data and produce detailed reports *Good understanding of engineering best practice *Highly organised and able to plan and prioritise work loads *Proven management skills with the ability to lead and motivate others
