We are now looking to recruit a Unit Manager to join the team based at our Plastics Recycling Facility (PRF) in Skelmersdale.

The Role:

The Unit Manager will competently manage all the operational activities at the site and to ensure that they are carried out in a safe, professional, economical and timely manner at Skelmersdale PRF. You'll maximise the recycling and recovery rates, productivity and efficiency whilst meeting quality targets.

The post holder will ensure all material delivered or dispatched from site meets the relevant standards, is fit for purpose and is done so in accordance with Site Permits, Working Plans, Company Procedures and legislative Controls. The Unit Manager will also review and improve financial performance of site production activities; and provide Opex and Capex analysis and comparison assessments for agreed operational improvement measures.

You will assist in the smooth and efficient running of all Contracts and commercial agreements in place, including County Councils, ensuring that all Contract obligations and requirements are being met. The Unit Manager will maintain production records, stock records and related systems to allow a complete record of site activity to be

Maintained.

Our ideal Unit Manager will have:

 *Relevant COTCs (4TMNH) and (4COMP), or be willing to study to achieve certificates *Ability to manage large processing facilities whilst delivering efficiency and quality *Good knowledge of relevant legislation that relates to the operation of PRF's or similar waste reprocessing facilities *High levels of professionalism, numeracy and literacy *Knowledge of materials processing and treatment operations and systems, particularly in relation to polymers *Good knowledge of Health and Safety regulation and safe systems of work *Experience of client, customer and regulatory liaison *Good understanding of material types and quality demands.
