Technical Support and Maintenance Coordinator (Cambridge Region)

Based at Fulbourn Road, Cambridge

Salary circa £25,000 per annum 

37 ½ hours per week Monday – Friday

We have an exciting opportunity in our Cambridge Region Water Production Department for a bright, technically minded graduate or equivalent to join our small team. We are responsible for the abstraction, treatment and distribution of water to over 300,000 people in Cambridge and the surrounding areas. The role will be a key position in implementing and maintaining a new maintenance scheduling system which will help transform the way we work as a team.

Duties will include:

- Supporting the implementation of a new system for scheduling and performance monitoring 
- Planning, prioritising & scheduling of Production activities within this system, allocating tasks effectively to maximise resources and deliver efficient operations
- Analysis of performance data, identifying trends and reporting key performance indicators to meet the needs of the Management team
- Leading in continuous process improvement, by applying knowledge gained from data analyses; 
- Responding and adapting to changing priorities, to enable the team to deliver its duties effectively
- Coordinating and communicating, liaising with internal and external stakeholders  to facilitate activities at our Production sites
- Supporting the development and maintenance of operational, quality, training and health and safety documentation
- Provide day to day administration to support Production team operations

The ideal candidate will have a technical degree or equivalent qualification, be IT literate and have experience of Excel based data management and analysis.  We are looking for a team player who is adaptable and is able to use their own initiative to work autonomously as required.  Being motivated to develop and learn will be met by the opportunity to gain valuable experience of working in a stimulating multidisciplinary environment.

Water industry experience is desirable but not essential. Experience in coordinating teams with scheduling / planning software is also desirable.
