About the job

This is an exciting role combining on the ground day to day operations and a more strategic management role.  As the Landfill Team Manager you will be in charge of all our disposal operations for both non-hazardous and asbestos waste, and will lead on managing relationships with our commercial clients and supervise our weighbridge operations and Waste Acceptance processes. You will also oversee operations at out transfer station to manage all municipal residual waste and some recycling streams, and our dedicated composting facility, where you will have to manage the day to day operations to ensure compliance with our PAS 100 accreditation and secure outlets for our compost. Another essential part of the role will be to ensure observance and compliance with the site’s IPPC Environmental Permit and landfill tax requirements. Additionally, income generation is an important element to the landfill activities so the role will also involve actively seeking for clients and managing the financial element of the disposal activity. You will report directly to the Waste and Cleansing Service Manager and will work closely with the other managers in the team.
