Environment Advisor

We are now looking to recruit an Environment Advisor to join support our team on the Hinkley Point C contract based in Somerset. This role is offered as a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

The Role:

The primary role of the Environment Advisor will be to provide professional advice to the business on all matters relating to the environment; including supporting the business to identify and control environmental risks. You will assist with the preparation on Environment strategies and ensuring the management system reflects the stated Environment Management Plan. The post holder will also be responsible for:

 *Completing reports and audits relating to environmental and waste compliance. *Ensuring that the site is operated to all applicable licences and permits. *Interfacing with site users *To be the main point of contact with the client and sub-contractors.

Our ideal Environment Advisor will have:

 *ISO 14001 knowledge is essential (auditor experience preferred) *Diploma or Degree in Environmental Management *Experience in a specialist environmental role advising a business on systems and processes and have had a front-line environmental responsibility *Knowledge of statistics and reporting of environmental metrics and an ability to draw conclusions from statistical analysis *Experience of sustainable development principles and practices *Proven management of Environmental Management Systems *Confident in delivering training and facilitating learning *Passionate about achieving sustainability *Ability to work on own initiative in a constructive manner and as a member of a team
