Job description:

To support Eunomia’s rapid growth, we’re seeking an energetic and highly organised Business Development Assistant. Your work is expected to include:

·       Editing and maintaining tender portal searches ensuring our Tender Review systems are capturing relevant opportunities

·       Distributing relevant opportunities to the appropriate colleagues

·       Ensuring all standard bid content is kept up to date to be used in bids

·       Supporting the Head of Commercial in setting up meetings, preparing agendas, rooms, video-conferencing, reports and analysing sales data

·       Creating and distributing regular reports on sales data within the CRM system

·       Helping to gather CVs, project history, and other information for individual bids

·       Running compliance checks (e.g. ensuring colleagues are following our processes correctly)

Essential criteria:

·       Demonstrable experience of a Business Development or Bid Support role

·       Significant knowledge of Sustainability issues, ideally waste and recycling

·       Enjoy working in an operational support role

·       Demonstrable high level of organisation and ability to multi-task

·       Demonstrable experience of working under high pressure to tight deadlines

Desirable criteria:

·       Demonstrable experience working with a Tender Review system

·       Demonstrable experience working with a CRM system

·       Demonstrable experience of working within a consultancy business model

·       Experience working within the Sustainability sector, especially waste and recycling

Reports to:

Head of Commercial

Person specification:

To succeed within this role you will need to be highly organised, excel in multi-tasking and be able to work under high pressure on short bid deadlines. You will come with a can-do attitude and a willingness to get stuck in to any task that supports the growth of the business and your colleagues around you. You will need the ability to rapidly learn the basics of what we do (from recycling to carbon mitigation, from marine plastic flows to socioeconomic modelling), and to become an expert in our business development processes and systems. You will become the go-to person on all things bid process and bid resources related for the company, and will act as the right-hand person to the Head of Commercial in analysing and reporting on sales performance and bid process compliance. This is an operational support role, focused on supporting our growth and therefore our ability to make a positive difference to the environment.

Candidates should reflect our values and commitment to quality and are expected to be self-disciplined, well organised and to be able to present themselves in a professional manner. A personal interest in, and commitment to, environmental issues is expected.


Anticipated pay range: £22k to £25k or more for an exceptional candidate.

Holiday entitlement

24 days per year (plus Bank Holidays) rising by 1 day each year to a maximum of 30 days per year.
