We now have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Technician to join the team based at our Dunbar Energy Recovery Facility (ERF)

The Role:

The Mechanical Technician is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all the mechanical equipment at Dunbar ERF, providing support to other disciplines as necessary using experience and skills. The Mechanical Technician will assist in the coordination of contractors as required, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

You'll ensure that maintenance targets and plans are achieved safely, economically and within the environmental limits of the plant by carrying out fault diagnosis; rectifying as required.

Working as part of a team, you'll strive for continual improvement in minimising environmental health and safety risks at Dunbar ERF. You will ensure that all reporting within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is effective and followed through to completion promptly.

Our ideal Mechanical Technician: 

 *Experience in mechanical engineering of process industry, or power plants *Mechanical Engineering Qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, HNC, HND) *Experience working with Maintenance Management Systems *Working knowledge of health and safety regulations *Able to think logically and solve problems effectively and efficiently *Ideally, experience working with Safe Systems of Work (PTW) *Full UK Driving Licence
