An opportunity has arisen with our client, an established multidisciplinary consultancy for senior  individual to join the team


The Client


Our client is an established multi disciplinary consultancy with a reputation of delivering high value solutions to clients.  They offer service lines including civil and structural engineering, planning and environmental services, with the environmental division being well established and comprising the majority of technical staff within the business.   They have a track record of delivering a variety of environmental services from managing impact assessment, and specialist sub chapters of assessments through to compliance, permitting and transactional work.

Their client base is established and well distributed including clients from development, manufacturing, local government and framework business through to the mining and extractive industries. 

Our client is renowned for its good working environment and is the recipient of numerous awards for excellence in technical delivery. 

Due to an increase in existing workload and potential for further expansion within the midlands / northern region, our client is looking to strengthen its environmental team in the region by the addition of a principal to assist in development of the business.


The Role


A motivated individual is sought to develop the midlands / north region in the environmental division.  Reporting to directly to the National Director and working alongside other regional heads of discipline, you would be able to make use of any of the regional offices located in Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds.

Primary responsibilities of the role would be to;

Ensure satisfactory delivery of environmental elements of projects, including compliance, permitting and assessment

Work with the Heads of Discipline in all regions to ensure the smooth running of projects to clients

Develop existing client relationships, work with other divisions to develop new offerings for clients

Be the ‘goto’ technical point of contact for environmental issues and train and develop team members


The Individual


The successful applicant would likely;

Be based in the midlands or north of the UK

Have a track record of delivering environmental auditing and compliance projects within the UK

Any experience of leading compliance audits at commercial and industrial facilities and/or supporting new environmental permit applications, permit upgrades or surrender processes would be particularly useful.
