At Viridor, we're investing in state-of-the-art recycling facilities, changing how our client waste is managed. Our Transfer Station Facilities in Somerset will provide fuel for our new Energy Recovery Facility at Avonmouth in Bristol. Our investment in plant and technology allows us to operate at the highest quality, environmental, energy efficiency and health and safety standards.

Our Transfer stations in Somerset are currently undergoing construction and will promote efficiency in turnaround times whilst maximising waste transportation and delivering waste for energy recovery.

Your new role:

As our Site Supervisor at the new Transfer Station at Walpole near Bridgwater, you'll be responsible for assisting in the management and supervision of the day to day activities. Ensuring that operations are compliant to the contract specification and key performance indicators.

You'll also be responsible for resource management and managing collections and deliveries into the transfer stations. Working closely with the administration team to ensure that all costs are captured and are within scope of the site budget, your team will also support finance department allowing a robust billing process.

The ideal site Supervisor:

Our Site Supervisor will have experience of working within the waste industry and have completed the relevant qualifications for doing so. An awareness of Environmental, Healthy and Safety regulations and their impacts are essential for this role, along with a good understanding of client management.

The Site Supervisor will have good communication skills, with the ability to think logically and decisively to provide leadership and motivation to the team. You will provide and demonstrate excellent customer service and as part of the management team, you will build good relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

You will require a full UK driving license.
