Head of Development Planning Birmingham

You will be working in a vibrant RTPI award winning team working with some of the nation’s most prestigious clients on a wide range of exciting projects across the country.

As Head of Development Planning you are going to be part of a team that has been established for over 25 years and has a highly impressive reputation for delivering technical excellence and innovative solutions.

You will be qualified to degree level in town planning or related discipline and a full member of The Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Having previously worked in a Director level leadership role in the public or private sector, you will have a proven ability to lead a team and achieve successful business growth.

Drawing on your extensive knowledge of planning, development and regeneration issues in Birmingham and the West Midlands, you will use your vision, ambition, flare and leadership skills to spearhead the growth of the planning, development and regeneration business in the Birmingham and West Midlands area.

Working with other Directors, preparing and leading the implementation of the business development strategy to steer and achieve business growth, are all part of your role as Head of Development Planning. You are expected to Identify new business opportunities and lead the preparation of bids to win new work, archiving this by using your excellent network of contacts in the local region to develop a network of relationships with new and prospective clients.
