At Viridor, we're investing in state-of-the-art recycling facilities, changing how our client waste is managed. Our Transfer Station Facilities in Somerset will provide fuel for our new Energy Recovery Facility at Avonmouth in Bristol.  Our investment in plant and technology allows us to operate at the highest quality, environmental, energy efficiency and health and safety standards.

Our Transfer Stations in Somerset are currently undergoing construction and will assist in the efficiency in turnaround times and therefore maximising waste transportation and delivering waste for energy recovery.

As a Transfer Station Operative at the new Transfer Station at Dimmer, Castle Cary, you will assist in the safe operation of the Transfer Station, ensuring that health, safety and compliance is top priority and that contractual obligations are met.

You will remain professional and courteous to all visitors to site, as well as building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Our Transfer Station Operatives will have a good working knowledge of Transfer Stations or Household Waste Recycling Centres and previous experience of working at either of these, or in the waste management industry, is an essential requirement for this role. Basic knowledge of Health and Safety and previous experience of operating plant would be advantageous, although not essential to the role.

You will require a full UK driving license.
