Opportunity:

An international multidisciplinary consultancy are looking for an Energy Manager to join their established sustainability team to work on a diverse project portfolio. The role would suit an experienced candidates with a strong technical background, and refined client facing experience.

Role and responsibilities:

1 Provide technical expertise and advice in relation to measures that will improve the energy efficiency of processes, and also in relation to renewable and low carbon energy generation.
2 Lead or support projects in buildings energy efficiency and/or one or more of the industrial, FMCG and utility sectors.
3 Provide technical/practical advice and deliver projects to improve the energy and economic performance of our clients
4 Site-based assessments and opportunities identification, covering a full range of technologies including; CHP, renewables, waste to energy, HVAC, lighting, boiler and steam systems, refrigeration, compressed air and electrical, instrumentation and control systems
5 Collection, analysis and interpretation of datasets/establishing baseline performance and monitoring and targeting protocols
6 Feasibility assessment, technical and business case modelling
7 Energy auditing, energy and carbon footprinting and compliance reporting
8 ESOS Lead Assessor services
9 On-site technical investigation for savings opportunities, including housekeeping, business operational change, industrial process efficiencies and low/zero carbon energy systems
10 Carry out technical due diligence on existing and emerging low and zero carbon technologies
11 Engage with a range of stakeholders (technology suppliers, internal networks, clients, regulators etc)
12 Maintain knowledge of energy/carbon policy developments, energy markets and wider energy/sustainability issues
13 Write technical reports
14 Project deliverables must meet our client’s needs and drivers, and effective communication is essential to providing regular updates on project progress and presenting technical solutions and key issues clearly.
15 Lead and/or contribute to proposal preparation; attract and secure projects
