Reporting to the Corporate Sustainability Manager, Resolute is seeking a candidate to support its Corporate and in-country teams to strengthen sustainability performance, measurement and reporting. Resolute has recently committed to the World Gold Council Responsible Gold Mining Principles (RGMPs), an industry standard covering environmental and social governance, and human rights.

Role-specific objectives:

• Support implementation of the Company’s sustainability policy framework across its portfolio of projects encompassing exploration, development and operational activities;

• Support the development and implementation of measures to improve sustainability performance;

• Lead delivery of the Company’s sustainability reports according to good international practices, in particular those of the Global Reporting Initiative;

• Lead engagement with in-country teams to apply performance metrics, capture and analyse data to enable the effective evaluation of sustainability performance;

• Support corporate sustainability messaging and disclosure activity through the Company’s website and social media.

 Location: The role will be based in Resolute’s UK office in central London, with the need for regular travel to Resolute’s West African mines in Senegal and Mali.

 Timeline and conditions: It is anticipated that the role will commence in early-December 2019. Remuneration is negotiable but will be dependent on previous experience.

Candidate Characteristics:

• At least 2-years relevant professional experience, ideally in the mining and extractives sector.

• Higher degree in Sustainability/Sustainable Resources with science, technical or engineering based first degree.

• Experience preparing science-based performance reports, ideally to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standard or similar.

• Excellent oral and written fluency in English, with advanced capability in French a strong advantage.

• Self-starting and confident individual.
