Our client, an environmental and social regeneration charity, is looking to recruit an experienced and strategically focused Programme Manager to lead their award-winning Green Doctor programme.

Contract: Permanent
Salary: c £36,000 pa

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: Waterloo office with travel to other offices as required

The Green Doctor programme is highly regarded, delivering home energy efficiency visits to vulnerable clients across communities. The offer includes installing low cost energy devices, providing advice and guidance, and referring residents on to further support services and agencies. The programme is well established and growing, with an experienced delivery team, working in 14 boroughs in London and providing pan-regional support.

The Programme Manager will be responsible for leading the Green Doctor management and delivery team; delivering all existing services to an excellent standard and leading the development of the programme and the adaptation of its services to meet a diverse and growing range of requirements, particularly in the health and financial inclusion sectors.

You should have strategic vision and be competent managing a large team delivering multiple projects. You will have an excellent head for numbers and managing complex reporting requirements and competent in ensuring efficiency within a remote workforce.

You’ll also have excellent interpersonal skills in order to form and maintain multiagency partnerships with strong written communication skills to allow you to produce reports, evaluations and funding applications.

A good knowledge of energy efficiency and the effects fuel poverty has on the health and wellbeing of vulnerable people is desirable. They are particularly interested in hearing from you if you have health sector experience with knowledge of NHS systems and/or experience working on financial inclusion projects.

The post-holder needs to maintain a flexible approach to the role as it develops and the Energy Services programmes change.
