Assistant Collections Business Manager

Due to continued success and growth, we are now looking to recruit an Assistant Collections Business Manager for our Priorswood Collections Unit in Taunton; working 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

This role is offered as a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.

The Role:

Joining our team, the Assistant Collections Business Manager will coordinate and manage commercial dry waste collection operations from the Taunton Collections Unit. You'll ensure that Viridor Collections Taunton complies with all legislative, statutory and Company requirements and that all targets and objectives are met if not exceeded.

The Assistant Collections Business Manager will maximise the collection rates, productivity and efficiency ensuring that all targets and objectives are met or exceeded.

Additionally, you'll be responsible for Drivers' administration; including the checking of drivers' licences and driver CPC qualifications (DQC), ensuring that the retention of Drivers' hours records (no less than 12 months) and working time records (no less than 24 months) are made available upon request.

Our ideal Assistant Collections Business Manager:

 *A proven track record of managing a Logistics operation successfully and controlling fleet operations *Previous experience of customer experience management and strategy. *Proven track record of delivering commercial targets  *An excellent working knowledge of the waste and recyclate market *Full knowledge of Road Transport and Environmental legislation. *Excellent working knowledge of the waste and recycling market within the specified geographical area. *Experience of preparing budgets, forecasts and month end reports *Knowledge of complex reports and KPI's and how they are used within a Logistics business *Excellent knowledge of P&L and accounting procedures *Proven ability to working within timescales and meeting deadlines *Good routing, logistic, administrative and clerical skills in a transport or related environment *Full CPC National for road transport, IOSH managing safely or equivalent, Full driving licence.
