Want to tame the lightning as effortlessly as Thor?

Are you a lightening God SAP LV 132 kV to 400kV capable of keeping offshore wind turbines spinning?

Want to make a spectacle of the electrical and bravely make it safely?

You will have a lead role in ensuring safety from the system to offshore transmission assets in accordance to the Safety Rules and carry out and supervise associated inspection and maintenance activities.

Using your extensive knowledge of HV equipment - cables, transformers and switchgears (GIS and AIS) you will conduct LV & HV fault finding and analysis. You will have strong working knowledge of UK H&S legislation and extensive experience of working under HV Safety Rules.

The ideal candidate will currently be a Senior Authorised Person working on electrical networks & protection systems LV 132 kV to 400kV and previously SAP with a DNO or National Grid.

You will prepare, issue and cancel safety documents. Prepare switching schedules and carry out switching, isolation and earthing duties.

Acting as a Control Engineer, manage interface between transmission system boundaries with Generator and NETSO. Produce & review HV method statements, risk assessments & maintenance plans.

Be responsible for maintaining the asset register and/or deliver planned or unplanned maintenance. Collate site and SCADA information. Facilitate effective fault identification & rectification.

You will be experienced in using Scada systems for remote monitoring and interrogation of assets and project manage offshore activities and lead an offshore team in the execution of the works. Support production & review of relevant procedures, processes and technical literature.

You will need to be physically fit as climbing & transferring to offshore structures is essential so the capability to work offshore & at height and GWO Training (desirable, however full training will be given).
