HGV ADR Driver (Class C)

Location: Rainham, RM13 9DB

Salary: £16 per hour

Contract Type: 6-month Fixed Term Contract

Due to securing a contract with a key customer, we are seeking to appoint HGV ADR Drivers (class C) to join their professional Specialist Fuels Services team based in Rainham.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful applicants will be required to operate a fuel delivery tanker vehicle for which they are suitably qualified to undertake and fulfil the duties of an Operator.

Hours of work will be 8pm to 6pm on a four days on/four days off basis. There may be opportunity to earn overtime payment, providing additional support to the division with other works.

HGV ADR Driver (Class C) Responsibilities:

* Operating Company vehicles including HGV & ADR class vehicles or any other vehicle for which the postholder is suitably qualified to operate and full responsibility for ensuring all vehicle checks is undertaken prior to commencing any works.
* Compliance with tachograph regulations and reporting in the required manner.
* Reporting any vehicle defects to supervision as soon as identified. The postholder will be required to complete vehicle defect report in such circumstances.
* Ensuring all ADR vehicles display appropriate placards during transportation and any time stationary. The postholder holds full responsibility for ensuring they are in possession of the correct written instruction document referring to the materials being transported. (TREM card).
* Ensure all uplifting and offloading of product and materials is undertaken in the correct and compliant manner with high regard for health and safety and correct working practices. adhering to safe working practices and ensuring correct PPE worn for this task.
* Refuelling trains overnight as per customer's requirement and liaison with customers on site to discuss on-going works and further services of the Company.
* Completion of all works paperwork and submission in a timely manner to divisional supervision.
* Liaison with supervision regarding all works and recommending improvements of possible opportunities.
* The postholder will be expected to satisfy any other duties for which they are qualified to undertake.

HGV ADR Driver (Class C) Requirements:

* Possess relative licence categories to operate and control HGV/ADR including tanks
* Previous knowledge and experience of completing RAMS documentation and knowledge of tachograph regulations
* The Company are seeking to appoint professional drivers/operators able to represent the Company well and demonstrate dedication and commitment to providing customers with excellent service
