Following a recent re-organisation, we have several exciting opportunities to join our Flood Risk Analysis Team in North Wales. As part of an established and well-respected team you will use flood modelling and collection and analysis of post flood event data to develop the evidence that helps to identify communities at risk of flooding and help to prioritise flood risk management actions to higher risk communities.

Flood Risk Analysis Senior Advisor - Full time, permanent role, £34,427 rising to £37,656 over four years (subject to performance).

The post holder will bring significant experience within FRM and will provide professional / technical leadership across the programme of flood risk modelling work undertaken by the FRA Team and wider within NRW. They will lead and influence work with our professional partners, senior managers and Welsh Government and actively contribute to specialist FRM Sub groups in developing Policy and Guidance. They will have excellent project and budget management experience with experience of delivering large complex projects and excellent knowledge of hydraulic modelling and hydrological analysis (expert practical knowledge of 1D/2D fluvial or coastal modelling software).They will be working in a team of similar experienced technical staff, delivering a risk based service across North & Mid Wales and involved in NRWs emergency Response to flooding as a CAT 1 Responder, including representing NRW in Tactical Command during flood incidents.

This post can be based anywhere in North Wales – Our offices are in Bangor, Buckley, Dolgellau, Llanrwst, Ruthin and Welshpool
