Warning & Informing Advisor 1

Following a recent re-organisation, we have several exciting opportunities to join our Warning & Informing Team in North Wales. As part of an established and well-respected team you will be part of managing and delivering a local flood warning service to professional partners and the public, co-ordinating our response to river and coastal flooding.  

Warning & Informing Advisor 1 – Full time, permanent role, £25,828 rising to £29,352 over three years (subject to performance).

The post holder will be working as part of the team in the delivery of our flood warning service.  They will work closely with other team members in the development and the delivery of our North and Mid Operational Incident Management Training and Exercise Plan.  They will be expected to support the team in the development of new and maintain existing flood warning areas and demonstrate good basic GIS skills.  They will contribute to the development of duty officer procedures and assist with post-flood event investigations.  They will lead on existing community flood plans and develop new, and work with existing and new flood warden groups. They will be expected to attend Community and Town Councils to promote Community Flood Plans and educate communities on flood risk.  They will also assist in the upkeep of customers and professional partners registrations on our Flood Warning System.

These posts are based across North Wales – Our offices are in Bangor, Buckley, Dolgellau, Llanrwst, Ruthin and Welshpool
