Leachate Manager

We are now looking to recruit a Leachate Manager to lead our South East Operational team, working 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

The Role:

The Leachate Manager will oversee a team of Leachate Technicians, providing operational and technical support to the company's operational and closed landfill sites in the region. You achieve this by:

 *Optimising the collection, treatment and disposal of leachate *Ensuring regulatory compliance *Minimising the financial burden of leachate management *Managing environmental risk *Helping to optimise landfill gas (LFG) production

The Leachate Manager will be responsible for the supply of information and data for the production of financial reporting, water balance / leachate production modelling, leachate quality modelling and other forecasts for the Landfill sites within the region.

You will deliver optimum performance of leachate collection, treatment and disposal through the analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) and delivery of best practice working.

Our ideal Leachate Manager:

 *Proven track record of the successful compliance management and optimisation of leachate collection, treatment, disposal and control *High level of practical experience of data management and interpretation using Excel and other data analysis software (especially environmental databases such as Monitor-Pro) *Involved in Pollution Inventory and other high-level reporting to regulators *Contract administration and management experience *Management experience including the direct management of staff, consultants and contractors *Extensive experience of client management, particularly of engaging with regulatory authorities (EA, SEPA, NRW) *An excellent understanding of the environmental and regulatory risks associated with landfill management *An excellent practical understanding of leachate management and control, including infrastructure, design and installation *Highly analytical with a clear thought process and high level of accuracy *Full UK driving licence is essential
