Assistant Transport Planner - Brighton

An exciting opportunity for a proactive individual to join specialist planning, design and engineering solutions consultancy in Brighton, as an Assistant Transport Planner. This role will provide you with the skills you need to become an experienced Transport Planner, and will allow you to grow and develop your career with the company.

Qualifications & Experience:

* Knowledge of Transport Appraisal, Travel Planning and Transportation studies
* Familiarity with current traffic and highway legislation and policy standards
* Practical experience of transport and development planning
* Able to work independently on preparing technical reports and documents

The ideal Assistant Transport Planner for this role will have a degree in areas such as Geography or Civil Engineering. Up to two years’ experience, and or an MSC in Transport Planning, is desirable but not essential. Some experience with technical software such as SATURN, VISUM and ARCADY is desired, as well as good numeracy and writing skills.

You will be responsible for preparing transport assessments, travel plans and feasibility studies for a range of development and improvement projects, as well as keeping all project files up to date. Moreover, you’re role is to manage clients’ projects, assist with developing high quality management systems and respond to client and customer queries. You will also be expected to liaise with clients and colleagues across the organisation and be a secondary point of contact when management is absent.
