Job Title: Ecologist

Location: Norfolk

Salary: DOE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, self-motivated ecologist to join a leading ecological consultancy in Norwich. As a team ecologist, you will be involved in a variety of project work, supporting clients in a vast range of different sectors.

This role offers excellent career development prospects and this position could provide a great opportunity to learn how to lead and deliver individual projects from start to finish, manage junior staff and sub-contractors and write effective technical reports.

Role & Company:

As an ecologist, you will have the opportunity to be involved in all areas of our client’s project portfolio. Responsibilities include carrying out habitat and protected species surveys, advising clients of constraints and survey requirements, producing preliminary ecological appraisals and Phase 1 habitat reports, establishing opportunities for biodiversity enhancements and the mitigation and production of EPSM licence applications. Due to the culture of the company, you would also be encouraged to further your CPD and would be given a chance to learn from more experienced colleagues who would be able to provide valuable mentoring.

As you progress in your role you will begin to manage your own individual projects and participate in the development of the services on offer to new and existing clients. My client has a unique company culture that puts people at the core of everything that they do. They strive to create a friendly and supportive working environment and pride themselves on the quality of their work and services provided. Other benefits include 25 days of annual leave, opportunities for career development and training, auto enrolment into a pension scheme, a sociable office environment and volunteering days as part of the company development initiative.

Qualifications & Experience:
