The position will involve taking responsibility for projects and tasks will include.

  • Working with Communities to support and drive community initiatives through relevant government programs.
  • An understanding of sustainable energy community schemes.
  • Demonstration of strong coordination, program or project management would be required as this would be beneficial to the internal and external coordination of this role.
  • An understanding of energy audits, inspections and reports.
  • Advising communities and companies on best energy project.
  • Driving and encouraging energy reform and climate change.
  • Conduct energy reviews and establish baseline Energy Performance Indicators (EnPIs) objectives, targets and action plans.


The successful applicant ideally should have:

  • Relevant 3rd level and technical energy or environmental qualification.
  • 5 years’ experience in an energy or environmental management role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong Presentation skills
  • Strong Influencing Skills
  • Relevant experience in energy community schemes is an advantage.
  • Experience of working with Management Systems.
  • Proven track record of implementing continual improvement energy programs.
  • Highly numerate with experience of working in Energy Management or a similar role.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to build relationships with external and internal teams in order to achieve buy-in to company policies and practices.
  • Self-confidence, maturity, discipline and a commercial approach to establish credibility at all levels in the business up to executive management level.
  • Ability to make independent decisions within area of expertise and take responsibility for work outcomes.
  • Ability to recognise areas for continuous improvement and drive change within respective teams.
  • Good organisational, negotiations and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Applicants must have their own transport and a full clean driving license.
